Born and raised in Kansas City, Dr. James Dixon attended Rockhurst High School and the University of Missouri before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He is committed to lifelong learning through continuing education and providing his patients with modern, evidence-based care. Dr. Dixon is an active member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, Greater Kansas City Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry.
With deep roots in the Kansas City community, Dr. Dixon is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered dentistry where every patient feels comfortable, informed, and heard. He believes exceptional dental care begins with building trust and understanding each patient’s individual goals, concerns, and needs.
Dr. Dixon takes a comprehensive approach to dentistry, using modern technology and advanced training to look beyond individual dental problems and consider the health, function, and appearance of the entire smile. With digital diagnostics, iTero® scanning, CEREC® same-day dentistry, Invisalign®, dental implants, and a wide range of restorative, cosmetic, and preventive treatments, he develops personalized treatment plans focused on long-term oral health. His goal is to provide precise, comfortable, and efficient care while helping patients understand their options and feel confident in their treatment.
Outside of the office, Dr. Dixon enjoys spending time with his wife, Anna, traveling, CrossFit, and playing board games with friends and family. They are excited to welcome their first child in fall 2026. He also enjoys giving back through TeamSmile, a nonprofit organization that partners with professional sports teams to provide free oral health education and dental care to children and families.
